Alkyne PEG reagent has a terminal triple bond on one end and functional groups on the other end. The alkyne triple bond readily react with azide moiety and form stable triazole under mild condition. The resulting triazole is considered a bio isostere of amide, which has minimal effect to the conjugated biomolecules. The other functional group can then be utilized for further conjugation applications.
By incorporating mono-dispersed PEG spacer between the terminal alkyne and functional group on the other, researchers now have control on defined spacer length with added aqueous solubility for bioconjugation, ADC research and cell imaging applications.
AxisPharm offers a range of high purity PEG reagents with different linker lengths.
