Biotin-polyPEG is a biotinylating reagent in which the biotin-linked PEG provides an extended spacer arm that allows biotin to enter the binding pocket of the protein. Can bind strongly to avidin or streptavidin. The avidin-biotin complex is the strongest known non-covalent interaction between protein and ligand, and the PEG moiety also significantly increases the solubility of the biotin-PEG conjugate.
