Peptide PEG linkers are protease-sensitivity linkers (also called enzymatically cleavable linkers). They comprise of either a di-, tri- or tetra-peptide that is recognized and cleaved by lysosomal enzymes to ensure the intracellular drug release once the ADC is internalized to the lysosome. The PEG moiety improves the aqueous solubility of the resulting bioconjugate and helps avoid protein aggregation.
