Featuring longer polymer chains than 30K and lower molecular weight variants, this PLGA delivers outstanding tensile strength, excellent melt processability and superior electrospinning performance, offering the slowest degradation profile across the full 75:25 acid-capped PLGA product line. Active terminal carboxylic acid groups support stable EDC/NHS-mediated bioconjugation with amine-containing peptides, antibodies and targeting ligands to fabricate functionalized biodegradable carriers. Its highly compact, hydrophobic polymer matrix significantly suppresses initial burst release and maintains structural integrity over extended periods, enabling predictable multi-month ultra-long sustained drug delivery. Preferred material for high-performance electrospun nanofiber scaffolds, rigid implantable depots, durable barrier membranes and thick three-dimensional tissue engineering constructs for regenerative medicine research.
