PLGA-di-amine, MW 5K is a low-molecular-weight linear biodegradable polyester terminated with primary amine groups at both chain ends. Produced by copolymerization of D,L-lactide and glycolide monomers, this polymer supports multiple lactide/glycolide ratios including 50:50, 65:35, 75:25, 85:15 and customized formulations. Thanks to its relatively short molecular chain, this grade delivers high terminal amine reactivity and fast biodegradation rate. The bifunctional amine terminals can readily react with carboxyl, NHS ester and other electrophilic groups to construct bioconjugates, amphiphilic block copolymers and crosslinkable biomaterial networks. Its degradation products lactic acid and glycolic acid can be metabolized in vivo, offering favorable biocompatibility.
