Mal-PEG-SC

Mal-PEG-SC(MAL-PEG-NHS) is composed of three main functional groups: a maleimide group, a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain, and an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester. The maleimide group is a thiol-reactive moiety that can react with thiol groups on proteins, peptides, or other biomolecules. The PEG chain is a hydrophilic polymer that can improve the solubility, stability, and pharmacokinetics of the resulting conjugate. The NHS ester is an amine-reactive group that can couple the PEGylated molecule to primary amines on the target biomolecule.

MAL-PEG-NHS can also be used to conjugate drugs to targeting moieties such as antibodies, aptamers, or small molecules, which can enhance the specificity and efficacy of the drug.
