SVA-PEG-SVA (PEG-bis-Succinimidyl Valerate) is an amine-reactive polymer with a 4-carbon aliphatic ester linkage between PEG and NHS-ester. Because it is reactive with amines. Coupling between compounds and amine molecules is usually carried out under physiological conditions or under weakly basic conditions, i.e. pH 7.2 to 9.
