PLGA-di-hydroxyl (PLGA-diol), MW 5K is a linear, bifunctional biodegradable polyester consisting of D,L-lactide and glycolide monomers with hydroxyl groups capped at both terminal ends. Available in multiple lactide/glycolide ratios including 50:50, 65:35, 75:25, 85:15 and customized proportions, the polymer features excellent biocompatibility and fully controllable biodegradation behavior. Its dual-terminal hydroxyl groups provide highly versatile reactive sites for further chemical derivatization, block copolymer synthesis, polymer conjugation and hydrogel crosslinking. After degradation, the byproducts lactic acid and glycolic acid can be naturally metabolized in vivo, ensuring high biosafety for biomedical applications.
