PLGA-di-hydroxyl (PLGA-diol), MW 20K is a high-molecular-weight linear biodegradable copolymer modified with bifunctional hydroxyl terminals at both chain ends. Prepared via copolymerization of D,L-lactide and glycolide monomers, the polymer supports flexible ratio adjustment including conventional 50:50, 65:35, 75:25, 85:15 and personalized custom proportions. Compared with low and medium molecular weight PLGA-diol variants, this 20K grade features tighter molecular chain arrangement, better structural stability and slower degradation rate, perfectly matching the preparation requirements of long-acting biomedical materials. The dual-terminal hydroxyl active groups enable flexible chemical modification, including block copolymer grafting, hydrogel crosslinking and polymer functionalization. Degradation products of lactic acid and glycolic acid can be completely metabolized in organisms, possessing excellent biocompatibility and biosafety.
