Propargyl-PEG4-(CH2)3-methyl ester linker contains a propargyl group and a methyl ester group. The propargyl group readily reacts with azide-bearing biomolecules via copper catalyzed Click Chemistry to form a stable triazole linkage. The methyl ester group under mild saponification to form an acid group, which can further conjugate with biomolecules through an acid amine coupling and form an amide bond. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
