Methyltetrazine-acid CAS: 1380500-88-8 is a building block used to derivatize of amine containing biomolecules. The resulting tetrazine containing biomolecule can readily react with TCO bearing biomolecules. Tetrazine demonstrates exceptionally fast cycloaddition kinetics (up to 30 000 M-1 s-1) with trans-cyclooctene (TCO) as the dienophile. It is the fastest kinetics ever reported for any bioorthogonal reactions.
