DSG-PEG-Maleimide (MW 1000) is a heterobifunctional PEG-lipid conjugate consisting of a 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycerol (DSG) hydrophobic lipid moiety, a PEG spacer with average molecular weight of 1000 Da, and a reactive maleimide end group.

It is amphiphilic and widely used for surface modification of liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), and micelles. The maleimide group enables specific conjugation with thiol-containing molecules such as proteins, peptides, antibodies, and ligands via thioether bonds.
