DSG-PEG-Maleimide (MW 2000) is an amphiphilic PEG-lipid conjugate consisting of a hydrophobic 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycerol (DSG) segment, a PEG spacer with an average molecular weight of 2000 Da, and a reactive maleimide end group.

It is widely used for surface functionalization of liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), and micelles. The maleimide group specifically reacts with thiol (-SH) groups on proteins, peptides, antibodies, and targeting ligands under mild conditions.

This conjugate provides excellent steric stabilization, reduces non-specific adsorption, prolongs in vivo circulation, and enables targeted delivery in drug and gene delivery systems.
