PLGA Ester Capped (50:50), MW 5K is a medium-low molecular weight, ester-terminated poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) random copolymer with an equal 50:50 lactide to glycolide molar ratio. Featuring inert ester end groups, this pure biodegradable polymer requires no end-group activation and delivers stable chemical inertia for conventional drug delivery formulation development. The balanced lactide and glycolide composition grants the polymer uniform hydrolytic degradation performance, enabling steady and consistent medium-term drug release profiles. It possesses outstanding biocompatibility and biosafety, completely degrading into natural lactic acid and glycolic acid in vivo without residual toxic substances. Supplied as uniform white amorphous powder, the polymer is freely soluble in common organic solvents including DCM, chloroform, THF and acetone.
