Phosphate CPG 500 v2
Phosphate CPG 500 v2 is a solid support used in oligonucleotide synthesis for introducing a 3’-phosphate group. Its 500 Å pore size makes it suitable for synthesizing oligonucleotides up to 30 bases long. The support uses a sulfone linker that releases the 3’-phosphate group during ammonolysis.
Key Features:
- Pore Size: 500 Å
- Loading Capacity: 50–80 µmol/g
- Compatibility: Works with standard nucleoside coupling and deprotection conditions.
Applications:
- 3’-Phosphorylation:
- Adds a 3’-phosphate group to oligonucleotides, useful for blocking 3’-5’ exonuclease activity in enzymatic reactions.
Handling and Storage:
- Appearance: Slightly yellow beads
- Storage: Keep at -20°C in the dark; stable for up to 24 months.
- Transportation: Stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks if kept dry.
For longer oligonucleotides, consider supports with larger pore sizes like Phosphate CPG 1000.
