Methyltetrazine-propylamine HCl salt CAS: 1802978-47-7 is a building block used to derivatize of carboxylic acids or activated esters containing biomolecules. The resulting tetrazine containing biomolecule can readily react with TCO bearing biomolecules. Tetrazine demonstrates exceptionally fast cycloaddition kinetics (up to 30 000 M-1 s-1) with trans-cyclooctene (TCO) as the dienophile. It is the fastest kinetics ever reported for any bioorthogonal reactions. This reagent is supplied as HCl salt for improved stability and easy handling.
