IR 750 NHS Ester (IRDye® 750 NHS Ester Analog)
IR 750 NHS Ester is a bright, water-soluble near-infrared fluorescent dye. Its spectral properties are similar to IRDye® 750 and other 750 nm dyes used in flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, bioimaging, and biomolecule labeling.
IR 750 conjugates work well with 633 nm laser lines and compatible dye-pumped lasers. Near-infrared dyes offer an important advantage because biological samples usually show low autofluorescence at longer wavelengths. This can improve the signal-to-background ratio and increase detection sensitivity.
The NHS ester (succinimidyl ester) group reacts efficiently with primary amines. It is commonly used to label:
- Proteins through lysine residues
- Amine-modified oligonucleotides
- Peptides and other amine-containing molecules
- Antibodies and other biomolecules
IR 750 NHS Ester can label proteins at relatively high dye-to-protein ratios with minimal self-quenching. This helps produce bright fluorescent conjugates and supports sensitive detection.
IR 750 conjugates also maintain stable fluorescence across a broad pH range. This stability makes the dye well suited for fluorescence imaging, flow cytometry, and other near-infrared detection applications.
