Alkyne-polysarcosine20 (alk-polysarcosine) is a lipid-polypeptide conjugate based on the endogenous amino acid sarcosine (N-methylated glycine), with an average of 20 sarcosine units. Polysarcosine has been shown to have higher protein secretion and lower immunostimulatory responses compared to polyethylene glycol (PEG) lipid-based systems.
