8-Arm PLGA-NH₂, MW 10K is an eight-arm star-shaped biodegradable polyester with primary amine groups modified at each arm terminus. Built upon a central polyol core, the multi-branched architecture delivers higher density of reactive amino groups compared with linear PLGA. The polymer exhibits excellent biocompatibility and tunable degradation kinetics. Terminal amine groups can undergo amide coupling reactions with carboxyl-containing molecules, or form Schiff base linkages with aldehyde-modified biomolecules. It is widely applied in nanoparticle fabrication, bioconjugation, hydrogel crosslinking and targeted drug delivery research.
