8-Arm PLGA-N₃, MW 10K is an eight-arm star-shaped biodegradable polyester with azide groups attached to each arm terminus. Constructed from a central polyol core, this multi-branched structure delivers higher reactive functional group density than linear PLGA. The polymer displays excellent biocompatibility and controllable degradation rates. Terminal azide groups can participate in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) click reactions to conjugate alkyne-modified small molecules, peptides and biomacromolecules. It is widely applied in nanoparticle fabrication, bioconjugation, hydrogel crosslinking and targeted drug delivery research.
