8-Arm PLGA-COOH, MW 40K is a high-molecular-weight eight-arm star-shaped biodegradable polyester bearing carboxylic acid groups at each arm terminus. Built upon a central polyol core, this multi-branched structure provides a higher density of reactive functional groups compared to linear PLGA. The polymer displays outstanding biocompatibility and adjustable degradation profiles. Terminal carboxyl groups can be utilized for amide coupling to conjugate peptides, biomolecules and small-molecule drugs.
