Boc-Amine-PEG5-propargyl contains a propargyl group and a Boc protected amine group. The propargyl group can be reacted with azide-bearing compounds through copper catalyzed Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The t-Boc protected amine can be deprotected under mild acidic conditions to afford a free amine. The PEG spacer increases the aqueous solubility of the resulting compound.
