HEX NHS Ester, 6-Isomer, CAS 2129651-79-0
Overview:
HEX NHS Ester (6-isomer) is an amine-reactive dye, perfect for labeling proteins, peptides, and amino-modified oligos. This pure 6-isomer is the activated form of Hexachlorofluorescein (HEX), a hexachlorinated fluorescein derivative.
With an excitation peak at 533 nm and emission at 549 nm, it fluoresces in the green-yellow range. HEX is a great alternative to dyes like JOE, BODIPY™ 530/550, and VIC™ due to its similar spectral characteristics.
Applications:
- Nucleic Acid Sequencing: Widely used in PCR and qPCR.
- Protein/Peptide Labeling: Easily binds to amine groups for imaging.
- Oligonucleotide Labeling: Modifies amino-oligos for diverse assays.
- Cell Imaging: Delivers clear fluorescence for biological studies.
Benefits:
HEX NHS Ester offers strong fluorescence, high photostability, and versatile use, especially in nucleic acid sequencing and molecular biology.
Storage:
Store at -20°C, away from light and moisture.
