DMPE-mPEG (MW 1000) is a PEGylated phospholipid composed of 1,2-Dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DMPE) conjugated to methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG) with an average molecular weight of 1,000 Da. This amphiphilic lipid combines a hydrophobic phospholipid anchor with a hydrophilic PEG chain, making it an ideal material for liposome formulation, lipid nanoparticle (LNP) development, drug delivery, gene delivery, and nanoparticle surface modification.
The PEG layer formed on the lipid surface helps reduce protein adsorption, minimize recognition by the reticuloendothelial system (RES), improve colloidal stability, and extend blood circulation time.
