APDye™ 594 Azide C6 (structurally is identical to Invitrogen’s Alexa Fluor® 594 Azide) is a bright, red-fluorescent azide probe.
APDye™ 594 azide is water-soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. This red-fluorescent dye has absorption and emission maxima at 590 and 617 nm, respectively. It can be used with the 561 nm and 594 nm laser lines. It reacts with terminal alkynes via a copper-catalyzed click reaction (CuAAC). It also reacts with strained cyclooctyne via a copper-free click chemistry reaction to form a stable triazole without using Cu-catalyst or elevated temperatures.
APDye™ 594 azide is widely used for generation of stable signal in imaging and flow cytometry in conjugation applications, such as, antibodies, peptides, proteins, tracers, and other amplification substrates.
