8-Arm PLGA-COOH, MW 20K is an eight-arm star-shaped biodegradable polyester with carboxylic acid groups on each arm terminus. Constructed around a central polyol core, its multi-branched architecture delivers higher functional group density than linear PLGA. The material possesses excellent biocompatibility and tunable degradation kinetics. Terminal carboxyl groups can participate in amide coupling reactions to conjugate peptides, biomacromolecules and small-molecule therapeutics. It is widely applied in nanoparticle manufacturing, covalent drug conjugation, hydrogel crosslinking and tissue engineering research.
