APDye™ 800 DBCO is a bright, near-infrared dye, similar to IRDye® 800CW and DyLight® 800. Its two shielding PEG arms prevent unwanted associations, boosting fluorescence brightness. It absorbs at 777 nm and emits at 794 nm, making it ideal for imaging systems with an 800 nm channel.
This dye binds directly to azide-labeled biomolecules in copper-free click chemistry. It offers an excellent alternative to copper-dependent alkynes when copper is a concern.
