5-Carboxy-X-rhodamine N-succinimidyl ester (5-ROX NHS Ester, ROX NHS ester, 5-isomer) is a bright rhodamine dye for ROX channels. It is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor 568, TAMRA, CF 568. 5-Carboxy-X-rhodamine (ROX)-derived compounds can be formed for analysis by fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) and fluorescence quenching applications. The spectrum of this dye conjugate is longer than that of the Lisaamine™ Rhodamine B conjugate, but slightly shorter than that of the Texas Red™ conjugate.
