4arm-PEG-Thiol is a thiol-functional multi-arm PEG derivative that can be cross-linked into PEG hydrogels. PEG hydrogels have a variety of applications in medical devices and regenerative medicine, especially for controlled release of drugs, 2D and 3D cell culture, and wound closure and healing. Reacts with maleimide or disulfide molecules and with transition metals including Au and Ag via metal-thiolate complexes.
