tBOC-NH-PEG-SC (t-Boc-N-amido-PEG-Succinimidyl Carbonate) is a heterobifunctional PEG polymer containing succinimidyl carbonate at one end. Coupling between amine and NHS forms an amide bond and can be carried out in aqueous solutions at pH 7 to 9. Removal of the t-Boc protecting group can be accomplished using TFA or HCl under acidic conditions and yields primary amines.
