SG-PEG-SG (Succinimidyl Glutarate ester-PEG-Succinimidyl Glutarate ester) is a linear homobifunctional PEG reagent with a C3 aliphatic ester bond between PEG and NHS ester. Internal ester linkages can be used for reversible PEGylation strategy design because esters are hydrolyzed under certain aqueous conditions.
