mPEG-Nitrophenyl Carbonate (mPEG-NPC) is a linear methoxy-PEG reagent with reactive nitrophenyl carbonate or NPC groups. NPC reacts with amine compounds. Its lysine residue or N-terminal amino group can be used to modify proteins, peptides or other surfaces. The optimum pH for the reaction is 6.5 – 9.5.
