Stearic acid-PEG-FITC is an amphiphilic poly-PEG with an amphiphilic surfactant that terminates fluorescent FITC. Stearic acid is an 18-carbon saturated fatty acid lipid with excellent hydrophobicity. It self-assembles to form micelles in water. The polymers can be used to encapsulate therapeutic agents.
