MAL-PEG-Silane (Silane-PEG-Mal) is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent containing maleimide and silane. It is useful to introduce maleimide on hydroxylated nanoparticles, microspheres, self-assembled monolayers or metal chips. Maleimides react with thiols, SH, sulfhydryl or sulfhydryl groups, and silane groups can react with glass or other hydroxylated surfaces or particles.
