DOPE-PEG-Mal is a linear heterobifunctional PEGylation reagent containing unsaturated DOPE phospholipids and maleimide groups. Lipid bilayers are often used for targeted drug delivery due to their increased drug solubility, and their PEGs can provide stealth properties, prolong circulatory half-life and reduce nonspecific protein binding or cell adhesion.
