4-Arm PEG-Epoxide (4-Arm PEG-EPO) is a multi-armed PEG derivative with an epoxide or epoxy on all four arms of the pentaerythritol core. Epoxides also polymerize when initiated with alcohol molecules in the presence of a catalyst, forming polyethers with pendant hydroxyl groups. Epoxides react with amines and hydroxyl groups under alkaline conditions.
