PEG–N–Me–PEG is a water–soluble polymer made of two different types of polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecules connected together. It is used as a coating on medical devices, such as catheters, to reduce friction and improve comfort. The PEG–N–Me–PEG composition also helps to reduce the risk of infection by preventing bacteria from adhering to the device.
