14:0 PEG PE is a polyethylene glycol (PEG)-phospholipid conjugate. Can form stable lipid aggregates for use as model membranes in biotechnological and pharmaceutical applications. Insertion of PEG-lipid conjugates into the lipid peg bilayer reduces the rate of protein association on the surface of the complex, thereby facilitating the formation of stable liposomes. It can also be used as a coating for medical devices and for drug delivery systems.
