FluoriCa-8 AM (CAS 1345980-40-6) is a cell-permeable calcium ion indicator that emits bright green fluorescence upon binding to calcium ions. Once inside the cell, intracellular esterases hydrolyze the AM (acetoxymethyl) ester groups, activating the dye. FluoriCa-8 AM offers enhanced fluorescence compared to Fluo-4 AM, making it suitable for applications requiring minimal dye concentration.
