BDP FL (BODIPY FL) is a bright and photostable fluorophore for the FAM (fluorescein) channel. Its fluorescence spectrum is narrower than that of FAM, and it is this property that provides better brightness for monochromator instruments, when the emission wavelength can be tuned to the dye maximum.
