HyNic–PEG2–TCO is an organometallic compound used as an initiator for the free radical polymerization of vinyl monomers. It is a combination of a hydroxy–functionalized nickel complex (HyNic) and a methoxy–terminated polyethylene glycol (PEG2) with a terminal carboxylic acid (TCO). It is a highly efficient catalyst for the production of polymersizable vinyl monomers, such as acrylates and methacrylates.
