JOE phosphoramidite, 6-isomer The fluorescent dye JOE is a fluorescein derivative containing two chlorine atoms and two methoxy groups with absorption and emission maxima at 503 nm and 525 nm, respectively. Based on its spectral properties, JOE is between FAM and TAMRA/ROX; therefore, this fluorophore is often used for multiplexed detection, including detection during DNA sequencing.
