Biotin PEG Amine (Biotin-PEG-NH2), MW 1K is a reactive PEG biotin reagent containing biotin at one end and a primary amine group at the other. Primary amines readily react with NHS esters, carboxylic acids, and many other functional groups. Reactions between amines and other groups allow rapid attachment of biotin tags to target molecules or material surfaces. The resulting biotin tag can be easily detected with avidin or streptavidin. The PEG linker provides good water solubility to enhance its stability.
