APDye Fluor 680 Amine is a bright and photostable near-infrared dye with the same spectrum as Alexa Fluor® 680 and IRDye® 680RD. APDye 680 Amine is typically used for small animal imaging applications at 700 nm wavelength and provides excellent animal clearance profiles. APDye 680 Amine is ideal for 633 nm laser lines. This near-infrared fluorescent dye is water-soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. APDye 680 Amine molecules can be attached to proteins at high molar ratios without significant self-quenching, resulting in brighter conjugates and more sensitive detection.
APDye 680 Amine is a carbonyl-reactive building block used to modify carboxyl groups through stable amide linkages in the presence of activating agents such as EDC or DCC or activated esters such as NHS esters.
