Amino-PEG11-alcohol bears an amino group and a hydroxyl group. While the amino group readily reacts with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc., the hydroxyl group can be derivatized to other reactive functional groups. The hydrophilic PEG spacer can increase aqueous solubility.
