5(6)-Carboxyrhodamine 110 Azide (also known as Rhodamine Green) is the nonsulfonated analog of the Alexa Fluor® 488 dye with excitation/emission maxima ~502/527 nm. Carboxyrhodamine 110 is bright and exceedingly photostable and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10 green-fluorescent probe. Unlike Alexa Fluor® 488, 5(6)-Carboxyrhodamine 110 is stable at highly alkaline conditions. This probe can be used with the 488 nm line of argon-ion laser and standard FITS filter set.
5(6)-Carboxyrhodamine 110 Azide is green-fluorescent probe that reacts with terminal alkynes via a copper-catalyzed click reaction (CuAAC). It also reacts with strained cyclooctyne via a copper-free click chemistry reaction to form a stable triazole and does not require Cu-catalyst or elevated temperatures.
For the detection of low abundance targets or where significant increase in signal intensity is desired please consider using next generation azides probes containing an internal copper-chelating motif.
