Acrylate-PEG-Maleimide (MAL-PEG-Acrylate, ACRL-PEG-MAL), MW 5K is a crosslinker with a PEG spacer. Linear heterobifunctional PEG reagents containing acrylates and maleimides. Acrylates can be polymerized with UV light or free radical initiators, and maleimides can be reacted with thiol-containing groups. Acrylate-functionalized PEG derivatives can be used to prepare hydrogels by a free-radical polymerization process.
