Description

1,2-Dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine (DMPS) CAS:105405-50-3 is an anionic phospholipid containing myristic acid (14:0) inserted into the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. Contains carboxylic acid (COOH) and amine (NH2) in their head group. It has been used to prepare lipid-mixed vesicles, liposomes or artificial membranes. Due to the medium size of the fatty acid chains, DLPS are used to form thinner membranes/walls.
