Methyltetrazine-PEG24-t-butyl ester is PEG derivative containing a methyltetrazine and a t-butyl ester group. Methyltetrazine is one of the most stable tetrazine compounds commercially available. The t-butyl protected carboxyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions to afford a free acid that can couple with amine bearing molecules. The hydrophilic PEG spacer can increase water-solubility.
